Job Description:
Coordination & registration
Act as the main contact person for identified project beneficiaries, partners, staff, and workers. Ensures registration for training in the specific area of expertise. Visits to the project area and work closely with the partners and train the community and staff on humanitarian principles.
Training needs assessment (TNA)
Identifies the need for training with identified participants. Provides recommendations to the project coordinator based on the assessment.
Develop training
Translates the outcome of the training needs assessment into customized training and supporting materials, exercises, and local examples and re-create necessary sessions in local languages.
Deliver Training
Ensures the best way of transferring knowledge and diversity in the background of beneficiaries, partners, co-workers or volunteers, and community members. Closes the training with an evaluation ensuring feedback on reached training needs and objectives and overall satisfaction.
Development plan
Coordinates development and coaching plans with the participant ensuring further training when needed and the expertise trained on is applied in practice. The coaching plan will provide the key deliverables for further support to the participant.
Evaluation & reporting
Defines which information makes training and project improvements measurable, gathers and analyzes information enabling Cordaid to structurally improve programs and ameliorate the predictability of program success.
Integrity
Adheres to the Code of Conduct and integrity policies, reports concerns, and follows regular integrity training.
Other
Any other duties assigned by the manager.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor/Masters’ Degree or postgraduate diploma in agriculture, economy, or other relevant field of expertise
Minimum of three years of experience in training and capacity building, preferably in the international NGO environment.
Knowledge of training methods for objectives, evaluation, country/region of the Cordaid office, and reporting standards.
Strong organizer of one’s own work, setting the right priorities, and able to cope in stressful situations.
Behavioral values and skills: respect, accountability, diversity & inclusion, sustainability, oral communication, facilitation, flexibility, creativity, innovative, result-oriented, planning & organizing.
Excellent command of local languages, sufficient English writing and communication skills
Good knowledge of the local context.
